Route: The Walk is a 5K (3.1 miles) route that is wheelchair, stroller and dog on a leash friendly. The Walk will begin at Town Green Park, then down The Woodlands Waterway. We'll do two loops but there will also be a shortcut.

Parking: There is limited free parking available in the Town Center Garage, level 5 and above, located on the corner of Six Pines Drive and Lake Robbins Drive. We highly encourage you to carpool. Please do not park in the HEB lot, near Town Green Park, as you may be towed. Also, the Marriott/Convention Center parking garage is pay to park and will not be validated.

Don't forget to visit the Promise Garden and to bring a picture of your loved one to hang on our Memory Wall. Pictures can be picked up after the Walk. On Walk day, you will receive a wristband. Each registered walker with a wristband will receive a Promise Garden flower. Please choose the color that best represents your connection to the disease:

  • Blue represents someone with Alzheimer's or dementia
  • Purple is for someone who has lost a loved one to the disease.
  • Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.
  • Orange is for everyone who supports the cause and vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Please visit our team’s page (see link above) to add your name to the roster to join us on Saturday, and make a personal commitment to raise funds towards our walk, or simply donate towards our chapter’s achievable goal of $1,000! Children and strollers are allowed; however, the children must also be registered.

If you received a t-shirt during our Longest Day activity, please wear it; otherwise please wear a purple t-shirt. You may wear jeans, shorts, or whatever is most comfortable along with comfortable footwear.
